- Sponsors a unique partnership between the public
and private sectors to streamline regulatory processes and reduce costs
- Promotes the transition of defense firms to
commercial and dual-use opportunities
- Brings business and government together to address
tax and fiscal policy issues important to the future of the Valley
- Stimulates the development of
environmentally-beneficial industry
- Promotes local efforts to create a healthy
community
- Is leading the creation of an electronic community
in the Bay Area
What is Silicon Valley?
Joint Venture's regional network covers all of Santa Clara County, California, as well as
San Mateo County from Route 92 south, Scotts Valley in Santa Cruz County, and Fremont in
Alameda County. With a population of more than 2 million people, Silicon Valley is larger
than 18 states in America.
Funds for Joint Venture are provided by
businesses, local governments, professional associations, labor organizations,
foundations, and individuals. Joint Venture: Silicon Valley Network is a 501 (c) (3)
nonprofit organization.
